New owner in Cheshire
on: January 14, 2022, 04:40:27 PM
Hi all, I've just done the deal on a 68 plate Tiger 1200 XRT in white, pick it up next Thursday. Really looking forward to getting to know the bike better and I will have plenty of time to do that this year as I have a total of 6 week's European touring planned (subject to you know what!). I had a Tiger 1050 Sport a few years ago and really liked the triple engine in that. I traded in a Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX, which is a lovely bike but not really comfortable enough nor able to carry enough gear for a couple of 16 day trips to Sardinia\Corsica and back, particularly as I will be guiding, so will need to carry a bit more kit.

I've already started ordering some bits for it, starting with some adjustable levers so I can live with the clutch biting point!

If you are planning a couple of European trips, you might want to consider visiting Pamplona during the 'running of the bulls' festival. I spent a few days there during my last trip, and got to say that the claims that this is the biggest party in Europe is true - we had a fantastic time  :821:

I'm curious, I have a 67 plate 3rd generation XRT and it came with adjustable clutch and brake levers. Is there no adjustment on your clutch at all?

I'm also not far away from you in south Manchester!

Cheers and welcome to the forum  :821:
