Burping/ Bad Wind
on: January 26, 2022, 09:04:41 AM
Another Newbie Question

I went for a short ride this morning after fitting my VMT 50mmx30mm risers, The ambient temp was about 30deg C, As I arrived home the cooling fan came on just as I was switching it off, when I turned my back it started burping like it had bad wind in the cooling system which went on for a few minutes. it did not spit any coolant out the over flow. The coolant level was between the high and low mark so all was good there.  just this strange gurgling like bad wind  :001:

Is this just another one of natural phenomena of the Tigers.  :084:

Last time I had this type of organic noise, I had to replace my radiator cap. It was air coming in through the shot gasket.
I'd run some cooling tests just to be sure.

Happens to me too after a ride on a hot day. I've never noticed any bad side effects from it.

I get it all the time after a big meal of spicy food.

Never had it happen with the tiger, though.
Silly Harley rider......Don't you know that Tigers eat hogs?
