To be honest I just used what I had lying around. Blue spade connectors (the colour generally defines the size) and blue posi taps. I used wire of the same gauge as the Garmin wires.

Thanks for this posting.  I just successfully installed the XT2 on the 2023 Tiger 1200 Rally Pro that I rode home two days ago from the dealer. Reading this posting and many others including youtube helped me get a successful install on the first effort. By removing just the black plastic piece on the left side beneath the tank and seat (one screw and three plastic tabs), I was able to have enough access to use a wire puller (old coat hanger with a U bent I've had my tool box for years) to pull the new XT2 wiring back to the the rear of the bike. I mounted the XT2 power base using the supplied ram mount and snaked the power line along the guide points for the main Tiger wiring on the left side of the bike. I used some blue spade plugs in my electrical kit (same size as the rear accessory power male connectors) and other connectors to connect into the power source for the rear accessory power plug. This setup allows me power  up Zumo XT2 when bike power is turned on - as opposed to USB connector that only powers up after starting engine or being wired directly to the battery. I have done zumo installs on three bike before including most recently my previous Tiger (a 2015 XC Explorer) and keeping it simple for now. Don't plan to add as many gadgets as earlier bikes since the 2023 Tiger has plenty of gear and comfort items already.  I may switch over to a Touratech mount and locking case for extra security and protection.  I don't think I will miss not having the rear accessory outlet.

I've opted for placing the Zumo XT2 in a vertical mode using the standard ram mount but with a Touratech locking case and a ram mount keyed knob for security.  I like this position since it has the Zumo in a good line of sight plus I can easily reach the zumo screen with my  left hand.  I did not like the reports of vibration with other after market kits for attaching the zumo to the screen. No security is 100% but I have had years of good experience with the Touratech cases - people who might snatch and grab a satnav don't seem to carry a lot of tools with them.
