    Hello All,

Thanks for having me as a new Tiger owner.

I have just put down a deposit on a new Tiger 1200 GT Pro in Black, my first Triumph.

Having just celebrated my 55th birthday, a new bike is the best present anyone can get, so last month I did back to back test rides on a BMW 1250 GS and a Moto Guzzi V85TT with the aim of getting it delivery on my birthday. The GS came out favourite and I was just about to sign up, then got a dose of Covid which knocked me out for a week. This turned out to be a blessing as I passed the Triumph garage on my first day back at work and found that the Tiger was just in and available for a test ride. Now, the Tiger wasn't on my radar but I wanted a bike with shaft drive and the Tiger had it, so I through lets give it a go and wow! I had to sort out a back to back test ride with the GS to confirm which was the right bike for me. Did that on Monday and put my money down this morning on the Tiger. It wasn't a clear cut decision as they both did what I wanting them to do, but the Tiger was just more refined, more modern, more bike. I just hope that it proves that it was the right choice.

Anyway, looking forward to joining the group and being part of the Triumph Tiger community.

    Regards

    Titch

     :401: to the forum Titch.

Congrats on ordering your very first Triumph. I don't think you will regret your decision - I think you've made the right choice for your next bike  :047:  :152:

I'm not too far away from you as I'm in Sandhurst. I've ordered a blue GT Explorer a couple of weeks ago at my local Triumph dealer (Bulldog), so like you, I'm just playing the waiting game.

Just out of interest, which Triumph dealer did you place your order with?

:401: and congrats on the new bike.

I think the Gen 4 Tiger 1200 will turn a lot more heads this time round.  A new rumoured GS1300 might turn that back around but if it is only a similar bike with a slightly larger engine to get round emissions who is that going to excited? I don't think BMW are crapping there pants but they are definitely going to lose sales to Triumph, they must be worried on the weight of any new GS.

Ordered from Oxford Triumph. Good people to deal with so far.

Steve Dimascio the sales guy is very helpful and even took me round to the workshop to see a Rally explorer being built.

Just need to sort out any accessories that need to go on. A bit limited to the Triumph options at the moment, so not sure weather to wait a while or just go for what I need/want.

    Can't wait now!
