    Discolored Radiator Fluid

I serviced my 2015 Explored this past weekend and everything went well.  When I checked the fluid level in the radiator the fluid has a definite black color to it. The bike has 63,000 miles (101,388 km) and has been serviced regularly but not this problem showed up.

I had a similar problem with my 2012 Explorer at about 90,000 miles (144,840 km). I ended up replacing hoses and fluid.

Has anyone else had this issue? The bike does not run hot but I know this is not normal. Could the be the HOAT fluid going bad?

I am going to replace the fluid this weekend but still somewhat concerned.

My guess is the lining in the rad hoses is breaking down. I've also seen this in brake fluid with old brake lines.
