Sport mode

Had saved myself while running in by not selecting Sport mode - having now tried it I reckon the engine runs smoother on pick up and boy does it go ! Might just leave it in ! Apart from some motorway treks - about to set off to The Picos

Good to know Sports mode works fine sirsidneyrd. I used sport mode all the time on my previous Ducati.... it's a fun mode to use!

I'm way off using Sport mode yet on my GT Explorer as I have zero miles on mine (having to wait a few weeks while recovering from surgery before I can do my maiden ride on my new Trumpet).

How many miles have you done now?

Enjoy using Sport mode in the Picos.... that tour will significantly add some serious miles on the clock  :001:

I am at about 1100 - the downside is the average consumption has dropped to 47.5 as you are encouraged to be more of a hooligan whacking the throttle open

So far I've been using Road mode, and the bike seems to have plenty of performance. I'm on just over 2k miles now and my average MPG is 50.0.

Maybe time to give Sport a go.  :001:

Are you loosing power by Road mode verses Sport,,. Thought it was only rain mode that reduced power,,,, not sure about off road mode?

No power difference. Only the throttle responsiveness, and of course, a different default for Traction control and suspension.

Shouldn't you be heading up the Khyber Pass?    :001:
So many roads, so little time.

I have tried to change the Rider Mode to Sport and the bike wont let me. Is the mode locked to Road during the run period, I see no reference to this in the book.
