Just swapped my 2 year old 900 Rally Pro for a 1200 Rally Pro. Long time Tiger fan having had an 800 XCX for several years and a 955 before that. Rode the 1200 home 2 days ago and waved goodbye to the 900 yesterday before going out for a sort of decent but gentle ride. I’m finding the run-in very frustrating but at least got past the first 3500rpm hurdle so had a bit of fun towards the end. Spent most of the ride marvelling at the power, comfort and sound while trying out the modes and a few different suspension settings. The 900, and 800 for that matter, are such good bikes I was wondering if I was making the right decision but a few hundred kms is convincing me I have.
The bike joins in the garage my T120 - everyone should have at least 2 bikes; one to move the body and one to move the soul - and my wife’s Tiger Sport 660 which recently replaced her Street Triple RS 765.
As I did with the 900, I had the engine and upper tank bars powder coated black. I really dislike tge silver and in any case, black is far easier to touch up if needed. Ask me how I know…..
