Farrow - I took my Gen 3 barrel out of the Triumph latch fitted to my Givi 58ltr trekker top box and inserted the Gen4 barrel when I switched bikes. Zero issues.

Ah that was the answer I was after. Thank you. Wonder if that trekker bit fits the dolomite and if that piece is still available as the site mentioned on here in another forum has it as out of stock

Called GIVI in Charlotte NC USA this morning and they confirm that the triumph latch will fit the dolomite case so have asked my triumph dealer to order it. Will let you know if it deinately works on the gen 4 barrels and the dolomite 30l case

The lock barrels I received with the bike do not fit my Givi 30l Trekker Dolomiti case.

Presume this is the complete latch assembly. Please keep us posted on this, as carrying multiple keys is a PITA & I would also like to use the Triumph key for my Dolomite top box. Got to say that having taken mine apart I am skeptical about the possibility of a barrel swap !

As an FYI for anyone upgrading to a 2023 RE, the lock cylinders are larger than the ones included with my 2014 800XC and 2018 800XCA. Therefore my 2014 cases will not accept the new cylinders...guess I'll be buying new hard luggage if I want all the keys to match.
Does anyone need three black 2014 expedition cases?

Ok so the answer is that even though Givi told me it would work it does not. The reason is because the Triumph clip does not have the molding around the eject button which the dolomite givi clip has. You might be able to saw the plastic below the givi lock as there are screws right at the bottom but didn’t want to do that so will hopefully be returning my triumph clip. To be honest it looked like it fit over the plastic bit at the bottom but it is all one molding.

You can buy the Triumph gen 4 locks to fit those. That is exactly what I thought I could do for the GIVI Dolomite. Triumph do sell the GIVI locks for the GEN4 that fit the Expedition cases but they will not fit the Dolomite case which is what I had bought for the Tiger Gen4. I returned the lock that I bought back to the dealer for a refund.

fyi, just make DAMN sure that when you pull the tumbler barrel out of the shipping container that you have the key inserted. If not the tumbler keys and springs will explode and go off everywhere!

Yes. I wish I had know that six weeks ago. I had three. Now I have two! Nothing in the instructions warns you of that.
Thanks for helping others to not make the same mistake. 👍
