    Hi

I am looking to replace my tail bag on my bike.
There are obviously loads of differnt designs out there..
Have any of you any recommendations?
If you have then please explain why..

    Thanks in advance,

    S

SW-Motech Pro Tailbag gets my vote as a stylish, expandable, high quality and functional tailbag. This Pro version (link below) is the new improved one over my outgoing model SW-Motech tailbag. I have had my tailbag for many years now and it is still a great bag that I use virtually all of the time on three different bikes. It is concave on the underside and is designed to sit on a seat and not a rack. They come with a waterproof inner back rather than the rain covers you get on the tank bags.

Cons: they are not cheap, not good for flat surfaces such as a rack

Pros: Quality feel, has server me well, zips have eyelets to use their optional security lock and cable, bag still in good condition.

The picture is with it on my rear rack although it is not really designed for that with its slightly concaved base.

I use an SW Motech Drybag:
    https://sw-motech.co.uk/collections/drybags-tail-bags/products/drybag-180-tail-bag-18-l-grey-black-waterproof

Pros: Lightweight, ample size but rolls down small when empty, shoulder strap, small external zipped pocket for (e.g.) damp visor cloth, only £44, WATERPROOF.

Cons: can’t be locked to bike, so park carefully or take it with you.

    Hope this helps,

    Phil  :152:

    Consider Lomo Bags.

I use the 20 litre ones on top of my panniers. Well made, waterproof and good value.

I don't know if they are shipping to the UK but you can check this.
    https://www.vikingbags.com/vikingbags-large-black-motorcycle-tail-bag

Pros: Becomes completely waterproof with the rain cover, easy to mount/unmount.

Cons: Could not put my full-face helmet in it.
