Just got back from 15 days in france. Went poole to cherbourg, heading south. Down to limoges loire valley. Over eastwards and did combe laval an balcony roads. stop over pont en royan ,down to die and further south visiting family in vitrolles. Heading west past carcassone to family for 3 days. day trip to anddora. Up coast to la rochelle. day around there was amazing. travel north using yellow d roads which are better than our a roads. Total mileage was 2,200. The temperatures were very hot. We saw 38c while riding and regular 35c which was far from ideal. Combe laval fantastic experience.

    Sounds great Baz  :152:
I've done a few trips around France, and can certainly vouch for their b roads  :467:  Also like those balcony roads, although some are a bit scary for those of us who don't like heights :008:
Next time you might want to have a go at the 'Route Napoleon' from Grenoble down to Cannes - a stonking ride  :467:

Would be great to see some pics if you have any !

Come on! You rode to Vitrolles and did not stop by here for a beer or two?!
    How rude!

I've just come back from France last weekend and it was indeed on the warm side. I did spot this monster near Bourg-en-Bresse which was impressive -

    Talking bollocks since 1965...

Bourg-en-Bresse, home to the famous poulets (chickens) de Bresse.
    Yummy!
