Can someone please tell me how to get to the rear turn signal plugs (Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer)? What all needs to be disassembled?

    From the Service Manual:

    Remove seats and battery.
    Remove Blind Spot Radar.
Disconnect indicators - under rear fender where panel removed to remove the radar.  Right indicator has red tape on the lead.
Remove the license plate outer hanger lower fixings (after removing license plate).
Remove the two fixings that attach the infill panels to the license plate hanger.
Remove the fixings that hold up the outer hanger. (located just under the indicators about 3 inches and 1 inch to the rear)
You should now have access to the indicator mounting nut.

    Sorry, no pics.

Well that sure seems like a whole lotta trouble just to get to a couple of nuts…

I love the look of the scrolling indicators.

I have one concern, however.  In the USA, rear end collisions are the leading accidents for motorcyclists, mostly due to cagers not recognizing or seeing the small brake lights on motorcycles.  The Tiger's brake light is particularly small so I give kuddos to Triumph for at least including the indicators in the braking sequence for our Tigers.

Is the rear end crash the same issue in Europe? Or is this just an American problem?

I'm adding auxiliary brake lights to my Tiger when my CANsmart arrives because the stock lights feel so inadequate even with the indicators included in the braking sequence.

    Turkish rider here.

Although getting rear ended isn't the biggest issue (because we can filter, and get in between cars in during redlights), additional brake lights are very popular and cheap here. I have one, and it looks good.

I sure wish we could use them in the U.S.   I was following a friend who was riding my bike and was surprised at how inadequate my red rear turn signals were.
