Getting ready to add the expedition panniers on my GT Explorer (Snowdonia White). Can’t decide which pannier color to get and not sure if one is better than the other. I like the look of the black, but wonder how much hotter they will get inside. Need some help and comments!

On a white/black bike like yours I would definitely go with black.  Will flow better.  But I'm also partial to black (or white) for everything.

You shouldnt ask others what you prefer / like…..its your bike.
I have black GTExplorer with black cases because I prefer it and because silver would look funny on black bike

But silvers are easier to mantain, less hot in summer etc etc

I have a black bike with silver panniers. It looks fine. My mate has a white Rally Pro with black cases. It looks great!

I think with white GT explorer black pannier would be a great choice.

To me the silver engine guards and silver side carriers make the difference in looks black - silver - black. Putting silver would break the visio affect. But thats just me :). Many angles of bike in my albums

Black and white go perfect together.

Not sure why silver would be any easier to "maintain" and never even gave a thought to the temperature inside the boxes.

So many roads, so little time.

I have now second set of blacks after having 2 sets of silver. I dont know where you leave but if I go to Alps or beach in August at 38 outside, I can have a very warm tea and a hot dog from my suicase :)
Maintennace: this one is obvious, on black every little scratch, every finger is seen. On silver you can be much more agressive with cases - because its actually raw aluminium its not paint. Its also much easier to put stuff on top of silver ALU case (camping gear etc) you wont have any scratches while on blacks you need to be carefull, putting stickers is one way of protection :)
