    New Indicators

So I've fitted aftermarket LED indicators to my Mk1. Ive added resistors to both sides and the left hand side work perfectly however the right hand side will only flash around 4 times before going off and not being able to be switched back on.

When the bike is not running but the ignition is on the right hand side works perfectly normal.

Ive checked connections etc but just don't seem to be able to get the right hand one to work correctly.

    Any ideas ?? :084:

How many Ohm resistors did you use? You need 10 Ohm. 1 resistor per pair of lights. Perhaps one of your resistors is weak... Other than that, I got nothin. :027:

I remember having the same symptoms years ago when I installed switchback led strips on my handguards.
I don't remember however how I solved it (but I did)...

Got same issue bought led indicators advertised with resistors built in, issue is won't stay on unless I leave fingers pushed over on indicator switch and flash very quick where do I fit the additional resistor and do only need 1 10 ohm per side?

    Thanks

I'm not sure what indicators you bought.

I bought these and have never had an issue with hyperflash.  Installed in 2018 on my Gen 2.

I did have to grind off 1 locking post on each bulb.

Might be easier to swap bulbs than wire up resistors.
So many roads, so little time.
