A word of warning to you folks, which may not be relevant, but just in case...
Before my recent Ulysses Club AGM trip, (did 7kkm), I fitted a Spanish-made aluminium toolbox to the inside of my Givi LH pannier rack on my gen 3 bike.
Crappy thing I'd bought for my gen 1 bike.  Fitted it by moving an attachment bracket.
Early on the ride, my missus told me she could hear a periodic scraping noise.
Last time she did that and I ignored her (on the way to the Ulysses AGM at Launceston Tasmania), a broken hugger bracket ended up slicing surgically though the new back tire at 110km/h.
So I paid attention!  Stopped.  Found the toolbox was rubbing on the metal brake line into the back wheel, wearing both it and the toolbox down.
If I'd continued, I would have eventually lost the rear brake fluid.

Seemed to be plenty of clearance when I fitted the box, but that was without two heavy panniers and a pillion on the back!
So check your clearances with the pillion and luggage on, if you carry them.

Plus one for that - had one on my Gen2 and when I took it off before I sold the bike noticed some rub marks on iside lower corner - obviously been catching the swing arm linkage at some point  :005:

Got the Rally Explorer, taking note of the last 2 post's and don't think it's a safe bet for going off roading. Bit to close to that swing arm for safety comfort!!
Good idea gone bad!! Stick with the tool box I made up that fits on top of my top box!
Any one after a Givi Tool box! Ha!!🤔

So I've just ripped the stupid cell phone case out from under my seat and working on fitting my tools in there. There is a TON of space once that waste of plastic is pulled out

I’ve done the same thing. That’s where I keep my flat repair “kit”.

Yes,  simple to do and simple to reverse.

This was my attempt at a solution. Cut a metel sheet and secured with pncpamps after spraying it

Not bad at all! What are the pannier racks and the box you used? Is access to the box ok past the rack mount?
