    Schuberth E1

Hi folks. Looking at a new lid and most important feature is to be as quiet as possible. I wear ear plugs but still find wind noise annoying (HJC RPHA 70).
I’ve never considered a helmet with a peak but late evening low sun is annoying and now considering a peaked lid.
A lot of reviews online say it’s quiet. Do you have an E1. If so feedback in general would be good plus is it a quiet helmet.
    Thanks.

    I have a Schuberth E1, coming from a C3 Pro and was looking for a C5.
The C5 fitted perfect but they put the chin strap way too far back so I could hardly breathe :003:
Then found an E1 on sale, it has the same shell as a C3 but with much better ventilation.
The chin strap a little bit better as the C5.
I removed the beak, maybe fit it back this summer.

But take ample time for fitting and try different brands.
Designated Shoei dealers can customise their helmets for a perfect fit.

    Hope this helps  :002:

First of all, Schubert make helmets that fit my headshape, there is no "one shape fits all", you have to try different brands/models.

I've been using a E1 for three years, also coming from a C3 pro. I find it quiet for a helmet with a beak, (i always use earplugs ).
I love the beak in low sun conditions, and that you can remove it if you want to really burn gas on the autobahn.
The only downside is that I  miss a air vent on the top to get rid of heat like on  the C5 and E2. It is not a major problem her in Norway, but i notice it when travelling to warmer climate.
I'm seriously thinking of buying a E2 just for that reason.
If you also include that the E2 is ECE 22-06 certified and has better ventilation than a C5 and is quieter than a E1 (according to Schuberth), I think the E2 is the one for me.
The main reason it has not happend yet is the i find the colors dull, I like bright yellow that is easely seen in traffic.

:464: I just recently found out that the top vent on the E1 can be pushed back 2 positions.. :164:
