    Side stand v lowering kit

    Hi,

I have the Lust 20mm lowering kit on my 2020 XRT with the forks dropped by 12mm.

Its transformed the bike (and me).

I see in other posts that there is a discussion about the original side stand. Has anyone fitted a shorter side stand and if so nay links to a supplier please.

I've overcome the extra effort to get it on the centre stand by simply pushing the bike back onto a piece of timber and therefore reducing the lift!

    Thanks

I think you can keep the original sidestand.
I have the short sidestand on my 40 mm lowered Gen 2 XRT and it leans a LOT !
When the bike is fully loaded for a trip with side and top case its very hard to set the bike upright  :012: :012:

I had my Gen 3 Tiger lowered (40mm). The dealer chopped the sidestand about to shorten it (at my cost), but it was too steep an angle. Bought a new sidestand (the standard one) and it works fine with the lowered suspension. I could have saved myself a few years hassle and quite a bit of money! I suggest you leave the sidestand as is.

I did both. Adjustable side stand by T-Rex Racing and 40mm lowering kit by Lust Racing. :306:
