Hello new member here.   Has anyone switched onto some touring tires and which kind?   The karoos are killing me on the highway.

Too new for tire recommendations. I ran into a Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer at a gas station, and he was raving about his new tires- he hated the stock ones. I'm fine with the stock, but liked the look of his tire, which looked a bit blocky, at least an 80/20 or more. I wish I remebered his tires, as I'm quickly putting on miles on mine.

Try the Bridgestone AT41. I had good feelings with this tyre on my gen 3 1200 XCa

Bumping up this thread to check on

    1. Any tyre recommendations for exclusively touring (no offroad)
    2. Can you fit a wider tyre in the rear i.e. 160 section ?

I just bought a pre-owned sample and the tyre noise ( I presume it is that ) starting from even 50KMPH is annoying. At 100-110KMPH it becomes a steady howl. Is this all due to the stock tyres ?
