Rear brake pedal broken… not sure what’s missing

My rear brake pedal freely rotates between the high and low rotation setting.

I assume something has come off it. Can someone please post a closeup of what keeps it in the position you set it to?

My phone camera is busted due to vibration I’ll post one when the Mrs is next near the bike.

The rear brake lever has a high and low setting where the section at the front can be pulled out and rotated 180degrees into high or low setting and then there is a spring (I assume) that should hold it in.

Mine just rolls around from high to low as I assume the spring that retains it in high or low is missing.

In this they make the adjustment from high to low. (not the section where he is using tools)

Woah I never knew the pedal had an upper and lower setting!

They do… till they dont… helps for dialling it in without tools when swapping between on and offroad ergos.

I spend most of my time standing on the pegs so would normally lift my lever, making it an awkward angle when sitting. This (if it was more reliable) takes that issue away, best of both worlds.

I don't think all models have this feature. I have a GT Explorer and mine doesn't have it, not that it bothers me.
Perhaps it only applies to the wire wheeled, off road based machines?

If thats the case Ill ask for the GT one when I go in for the warranty check and and just set it up in a permanent higher position than normal for road.

Would rather the ergos being off a little when I am on the road than having this broken rotating issue.
