    I did!
    But it never caused any starting problem, sorry ;-)

    Back to topic: if you had to bend (or bend back?) some metal, it could be either a one instance problem (i.e., excessive force applied on the switch and/or lever), or a reoccurring problem (in which case, I'm afraid you'll have to do it again sooner or later; until the lever and/or switch finally breaks).
