    Hello everyone,

Want to briefly introduce myself to the forum. After riding a Tiger 900 Rally Pro last year (great bike), I just upgraded to a Tiger 1200 GT Explorer. Rode the new bike for about 250 miles this year - so far no major complaints. Minor complaints : poor fitting of trim parts around tank (hope I can fix that) and a very noisy front wheel / tire (Metzeler - hope that will improve with putting more miles on it).

I started riding motorcycles, when I was 16, stopped in the nineties and started again last year. Enjoy it a lot, look fwd to lot of trips w/ my new travel companion.

I intend to do basic maintenance of the bike by myself. Hope to find answers to questions - I may have in this regard - here in the forum.

    Cheers, RR

:400: to the forum, RR. Congrats on your new GTEx! They're a fantastic ride, but I wouldn't plan on that front tire getting any quieter. My experience & I think many here would agree that they're just not the right tire for the bike. They do wear well though, so look forward to another 8,000 miles of noise! :015:

    Welcome buddy!

I concur that your Metz will only go worse with kms. As soon as it's done, you'll want some good silent Michelin as replacement ;-)
Michigan it is then? That's a bit large, so it gives me the opportunity to offer you this musical welcome gift: a one hit wonder from Detroit!
