Oxford heated grips

Although I got a suggestion of heated gloves when I last posed this question, I don't think I actually got an answer. May I try again?
Has any one fitted after market heated grips and does the fact that the throttle is "ride by wire" present any problem?
Remember I'm a "Tex Waiter" and must remain so till January.

Harold.
Dont know the answer to your question, but i have seen them for sale at Youles, and i guess that they will be happy to fit them. However, be prepared for them to throw in a massive disclaimer about the bikes warranty cos you aint using triumph approved accessories. Ask them and see what they say.

Each to their own Harold, but they really are very good and a very neat installation. If you're spending loads a dosh on the bike [which you will be] isnt it worth that [comparatively] teeny bit more?

Hi I had my heated grips fitted free along with other goodies, if you purchase oxford grips along with the
cost you will have to pay for installation. I don't think you will save anything. But its your decision.

i have the 'oxford hot hands' fitted to the grab rail for the wife.... they are designed for the grips but a snip at less than £40 and you can fit em yourself easily.

Same here - got all my goodies fitted free of charge when I bought the bike. Had to "pay" £30 to have my satnav hard wired into the loomb but I negotiated an extra £30 on my trade in to compensate.

FWIW I fitted Oxford heated grips on my much regreted '97 Tiger. They are incredibly efficient. Actually, I could never let them on the highest setting.
Still, I went for Triumph's grips for my ex-1050 Tiger and the Explorer. Not cheap, but perfectly integrated with the bikes and pretty efficient.
And fitting anything non OEM electrical can be risky (mostly in terms of warranty claims).
