UPPER CRASH BARS COMPATIBILITY W/STOCK ENGINE GUARDS
« on: August 25, 2013, 10:23:03 PM »
Just wondering if anyone has installed upper tank guard bars from ? hepco & becker, SWMotech or? they all look as if the mounting systems will interfere with the mounting locations with the Triumph accessory engine guards I have on my Explorer

I have the T Engine Bars and the SW Motech ones - fit great, look good - slightly different finish but not an issue really

i have triumph engine bars and the sw motec top bars, not only do they do a job of protecting should the bike be dropped but they make the bike look a bit fatter, coming off a rocket 3 it seem a little thin to me.  :018:
one does not interfere with the other :028:

Sounds like the SW bars are OK then BUT what about the Hepco & Becker bars?

Are the compatible with the Triumph OEM bars?

Good question Theo, I have been asking the same now years on and Hepco Australia's distributor is non committal and Germany Hepco has not replied. I bought some of the Hepco bars but can not see how they will work with my oem lower bars - so useless to me I think. Is anyone more definitive?

I fitted Heed upper bars (see previous posts). They fit fine with the stock Triumph engine bars.

There are a couple of mountings where you have to figure out what order things get attached, but it's not hard, even for a klutz like me.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Steve,  but looking at Hepco one can not go in front of the other etc.
Has anyone succeeded with Hepco and OEM lowers as a combination?
Cheers .
