AltRider testing new equipment for BMW, but fun outtakes of drops in dirt.

The GS and Tex are pretty big bikes for doing this kind of stuff, but does show what can be done and the relatively minor damage that happens when it goes bad.

Only caveat -- never ride alone in the dirt plz.

    Why not?

Of course AltRider published the vid cuz it shows off what their lower and upper crash bars provide.  What's so different about a GS with bars and an Explorer with same bars?

Mind you the hit to the head, or a bike rolling on top of you, will not be any different with or without bars :)

I test rode new Water Closet GS - it rides like a bicycle... I dont really know the weight of it but it felt tons lighter than Explorer.... Then, having breasts sticking out to the sides reduce the impact being closer to roll over point or ground, while Explorer breasts are high up
