The bike is in at Triumph 128 in BEVERLY, MA, one vent shift fork so far
And a bad TC and corrupt TSAS software. Installed by place I bought the bike at. They probably did everything right but i remember sitting around for a long time as they “consulted with triumph”.

Ah, I could have added to this thread also.
Unfortunately had kind of the same issue, I wrote it down in another thread though, isn't a 3rd to neutral issue, but probably similar issue:
Info is in here, hope not to break forum rules by posting it here this way...

14: SHAFT ASSY, PIVOT GEARCHANGE T1191194
15: SPRING, GEARCHANGE RETURN T1191207
16: PLATE, PIVOT, GEARCHANGE T1191200
17: SPRING,COIL,PIVOT PLATE T1192521
18: WASHER, 18.5X25X1.5, STEEL T3551056
19: CIRCLIP, DIN 471, DIA. 14.0 T3502535
21: SPRING, DETENT, TORSION T1192123
22: DETENT ARM, ASSEMBLY T1192122
23: WASHER, 18.5X25X1.5, STEEL T3551056  > Eng No 536468

5: DETENT WHEEL T1191235

25: GASKET, GEARCHANGE COVER T1261426
26: SEAL,OIL,14X22X4.5 T3600088
29: WASHER,CU,OD12.5,ID6.4,0.8 T3550542

I was reviewing the parts list above (a bit late to the party)... to get a complete set of what you need, anyone ordering all this stuff just remember you will need 3 of the circlip, and 2 of the washers T3551056, everything else is a quantity of 1.

in the factory service manual, the instructions state to discard the fixing when you remove the Detent Wheel and put a new one of those in (T3200123) .... as well as a new O-ring for the gear position sensor (T3600267)

I have noted a false neutral a handful of times (it's rare) - I think it's me being really lazy shifting, but may replace the parts anyway (mine is a mid 2014 manufacture).

Seems that the "3rd to neutral" problem involves mostly the Gen1 or are there also Gen2 or even Gen3 bikes that have that same problem? (I recall reading 1x Gen2 XCA '17 gearbox issue).

I'm asking this because I'm in the market for a Gen3 Tiger 1200  :007:.........

Hmmm, seems to be a fair bit of Gen3 lemons are still out there, still the 3rd to neutral problems amongst other issues.......

Like the GS/GSA, you have to be lucky to get a good one  :164:.

No make is lemon proof, but some have a higher proportion of lemons in their bowl of peaches.
