Same as dunc, once or twice a month since day 1.

Of course, the dealer can't do a thing because it's too random for him to replicate.

It's been hypothesized on here that it could be related to a specific process that cuts out when you blip while braking.

Annoying and caused some pants browning when it happened while filtering between huge lorries...
I can confirm that you can induce it. If you open the throttle more than 20% while braking, it triggers a mechanism that cuts the ignition to prevent run-aways.  The only time that it has happened to me was when I was blipping the throttle aggressively when coasting to a stop at a light.

Please keep us up to date on your/dealer findings.
Maybe the recall for older models should be extended to a bulletin for newer models???
Obviously their is something going on here albeit not as common.
I don't think that the early ECU update had anything to do with this.

So far my 2014 hasn't experienced this, I do know the ecu was replaced at some point due to the all zeros it has listed as the vin.

Pretty sure mine isn't that... always happens on a closed throttle, from what I can tell.

I have a feeling that deterioration of the throttle body mounting rubbers/insulators can cause this. The rubber can crack with age and leak. I am not 100% sure on this, but the rubbers definitely caused problems at some point.

I think that if you have vacuum leaks at the TBs that you will generally have a rougher running bike.

I put about 75miles on the Explorer today without issue.
My Arrow exhaust is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow so the 12min tune will happen as well. Hope for the best.

Might be no harm to check all the main connectors on the wiring loom. They have been known to take in water during washing and there can be intermittent poor running thereafter.
